this year, i made few resolutions and goals.

1) body - get the weight off that i picked up the first year of marriage ASAP
2) body - keep the weight off to be a skinny, scary, sexy rich bitch...cruella deville anyone?
3) spirit - do my BPI exercises everyday to keep other people's energy out of my aura space and body
4) small business - do 2 Mary Kay things a week where i see people either meeting, face or interview
5) marriage - read 4 books to Kevin this year (the 4 agreements: there is nothing wrong with you: if the buddha married: pronia by rob brezny)
6) art - reduce my collage clutter by 3/4 (which means making a shitload of collages)
7) home - empty my storage unit and get working shelving systems in our office/studio and our garage
8) art - go to sacramento with nik 6 times this year

9) vacation - new orleans with kevin for honeymoon trip away

10) small business/vacation - mary kay convention with kevin and mom and dad
11) mental - To be more aware of my own cognitive errors like black and white thinking and not let the errors determine my choices.  People's actions are not black and white.  There is a lot of grey space when it comes to interpretation of their own truth.  I've decided to move back towards my spiritual path.

inspirations this week

It's been harvesting season, and I'm gathering images for my new show going up on Monday at the bank, doing my squirrel totem proud!  The focus this time is really on color with landscapes having a secondary focus on depth of field and collages having a secondary focus on transparent layers giving the illusion of depth.  Somehow, this all plays into a higher metaphor about transparency and vulnerability showing the true depth of a person's nature rather than the superficial masks we adopt to protect ourselves.

Newsflash:
I'll be having a solo artshow for one month starting in November of new landscape pieces where I'm going to attempt to push the concept of bold COLOR in landscape painting and avoid pastels.
